Be Still

The unfamiliar roads that we find ourselves on throughout the ever changing seasons of our lives can sometimes prove to be unsettling. Situations can overwhelm our souls, leaving our hearts and minds to wander around with a  lingering sense of bewilderment and many unanswered questions. A handful of unforeseen developments can leave us simply wondering why.

  • A sudden change in the health of yourself or a loved one.
  • A storm that just doesn't know when to quiet down. (ie. multiple trying situations happening all at once.)
  • Having to adjust to a "new normal" that you were not prepared for.
The last bullet point statement is one that I know has affected absolutely everyone in some way. The Lord has laid a lot of messages on me that pertain to the condition of the heart, and I hope my words will be the light of encouragement that someone's heart needs.

Watching a loved one struggle with their health is one of the hardest trials to witness. Your soul may feel helpless, and you find yourself wishing to carry the burden of their illness for them. The heart you possess may feel every emotion and every thought they experience. The strength of empathy brings about a shared sense of surroundings. An example of this would be the closely bonded relationship that I have with my mother. I can always tell when she's tired, upset, frustrated, or angry. Oftentimes, we'll even share the same thought processes.

I cannot speak for her illness and the specific trials she has experienced, but I do know that struggling health wise can remove the joy right out of you with its powerful venom. Symptoms can be overwhelming on a daily basis , leaving your soul unable to truly be at peace. It's nerve wracking knowing that something isn't quite right with your body and that the best of doctors are unsure of what could be amiss.

You're exhausted and always feeling unhealthy. As a bystander, your loved one also breathes the air of uncertainty and fear.

You both often find yourself asking: Why is this happening?
What do we do?
How can we get through this situation in one peace?

What an encouragement it is to know that the Lord will always provide a remedy for the twists and turns you face. He will always lend a loving and helpful hand to pull you through any storm.

It can be hard to see that wonderful truth through the fog of personal tribulation. Have you ever felt like sometimes you just couldn't catch a break? Have you ever had your faith and patience tested simultaneously?

During those times, I think we as humans naturally wonder why the Lord allows certain trials or the most treacherous seasons to come our way. I believe He uses our circumstances to mold us in unconventional ways for a divine purpose; to reveal to us the almighty strength, the unmatched armor of protection, and the precious love that His sweet grace provides; to grow our faith and reliance upon Him. Oftentimes, He will use what we've been through to provide help to someone else that crosses our path in the future as well. I am the weakest person I know, but Christ has never given me a reason to doubt Him or to wonder where He is in the midst of the sea. 🌼

"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." (Ecclesiastes 3:11 King James Version)

It is important to remember that life is full of seasons that swiftly bring change. No matter what you're going through, the tough part won't last forever.
Be thankful for those seasons, because you never know what kind of fruit may come from you deciding to trust in Him through a difficult time. 🌺

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." (Psalm 1:3 King James Version)

Hold onto your faith in Him through it all. Even those hard moments. He will hold onto you, and His presence will make all the difference in the world with how your eyes view your surroundings. His guidance will be a much needed light of encouragement and strength along your path. 🌼

That's just who Jesus is. Be still & trust in Him today.💗👐

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10 King James Version)

The Source of Everlasting Strength

"Life may try to weigh you down, but never let it wear you out." I love that the Lord placed that particular phrase on my heart while thinking about how certain circumstances in our lives can become truly overwhelming. I never enjoy shining a light on all that I face physically, but I will today because it fits well within the message.  Many of you may remember that I experienced COVID last September; as a result, I have dealt with lasting fatigue that carries no reasonable medical explanation, although I am absolutely certain that  living with both cerebral palsy and PCOS may play a significant role. It's now difficult to exert any amount of energy at all. Completing even the tiniest of tasks often feels the same as climbing Mount Everest. Some of those days it seems as if everything weighs me down and wears me out. (writing honestly) I know many who struggle with SO much more than I do. I know I'm never alone in that battle. Maybe you're experiencing one of thos...

Molly's Morning Thoughts: Are You Inviting Jesus In Or Shutting Him Out?

A Word From Molly : I'm a little late on sharing a thought from yesterday morning but I couldn't go without giving it a place on the blog. I love that the Lord put this on my heart to write because it is SO true. I may turn this into a new blog segment, we shall see, but I hope this speaks to your heart as much as it did mine. Molly's Zone will celebrate its 10th birthday on Monday and I still feel so blessed to have the opportunity to write for Jesus. Molly's Zone has been a little quiet (life has been quite interesting lately) but I cannot wait to share more all throughout the month of September.  I woke up early this morning thinking about something that the Lord placed on my heart I LOVE podcasts & decided to try something new on Spotify the other day & listened to an episode about God's power in the midst of impossible situations and it got me wondering: How often are we guilty of attempting to take on a situation that is too much for us to handl...

For The Messy Heart

Does anyone else actually enjoy cleaning their house or is it just me? When my mother was still working, my absolute favorite chore was laundry. (It may have taken me seven business days to put away my clothes, but I lived for washing, drying, and folding everything.) Adulting is never easy and keeping the rooms of your house clean can be quite overwhelming---especially for those who have everything going on all at once. It does seem as if there's never enough time in the day, doesn't it? Have you ever wanted to take on a "deep cleaning" project only to find that you are completely lost on where to start first? Maybe you've said "oh, I'll do it another day" because you couldn't find the courage or the confidence to face it all head-on.  As the clutter continues to build up and around you, the mess only brings about stress, anxiety, and darkening depression. Living in the midst of a mess will never bring you joy.  This analogy brings us right into...
