Is Your Name In The Book of Life?

Some of you may remember a message that I wrote in February that was aptly titled "The Price of Sin Will Never Be Worth It".  (The link to that post can be found here).

The heart behind this particular two-part series comes from a sense of wanting to be timely and truthful; as the world we live in today continues to crumble, thoughts and conversations about eternity need to be at the forefront.

There are no words to describe the societal damage that stems from "influencer culture" (what is the definition of such a thing?) and let me tell you, it BAFFLES me to see so many do the craziest things to gain views or followers.

(I've mentioned this previously, but it still blows me away.)

It's time for an uncomfortable truth:

Becoming the next big viral sensation may get your name mentioned in all of the magazines. You may even find yourself appearing on a daytime talk show.

While all of those things can be fun and exciting, having your name written everywhere on Earth will never be able to provide you with the guarantee of eternal security in Christ.

Choosing to die without placing faith in Christ and trusting in all of His promises will leave you facing an eternity in the Lake of Fire; forever separated from His love and the comfort of His presence. There will be no rest from the torment found within its inescapable flame.

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and everAnd I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:10-15 KJV)

But your story doesn't have to end this way.

Eternal security is a heavenly promise that's written into the Book of Life with His sweet pen of love. It can never be erased and you will never be forgotten.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24 KJV)
