A Thought For Your Monday

I love reading blogs. I always take away something from them. Last week, I stumbled upon a post that really made think.

It was about what the definition of a good and true friend really is.

There's a big difference between making time for a friend versus having the time for them.

Do you truly make the time for those you care about?

Making time for someone is so special. It shows how much you care for them and it will always mean more than you know.

Life is crazy busy at times, and it's not always possible to have a full fledged conversation with someone and when you're older, responsibilities come first.

But it takes less than ten seconds to send a message to let someone know you're thinking of them. It doesn't even need to be a grand gesture. Maybe a funny GIF or a "hey there" kind of reminder.

Or...

Maybe you've been at your day job and you've continuously witnessed a close co-worker who's struggling just to make it through the day.

They may be hungry and in need of a listening ear. Go buy their lunch. Sit and talk with them for a bit. You don't have to be the one who solves their problem.

You will never have the power to do that for them. Being that safe space for someone when the world has them feeling disposable will always be enough.

You never know what someone is going through on any given day. Your friendliness may be the highlight of someone's worst day.

We may not always have the time for someone else, but setting aside a few moments for them will surely make a difference.

"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." (Proverbs 18:24 KJV)

The Power of His Presence

Nothing shall be impossible with God, yet nothing will ever be possible without Him.

This thought popped into my head the other night, and I couldn't help but think of how true that statement actually is.

I think this message applies to so many as it is really hard to ask for help when you need it.

There always seems to be a tug of war in the mind about what to do when faced with certain situations.

You know in your heart what's best but choosing to do everything in your own power so often comes first. The idea of having limitations in this life is never easily accepted.

Those unchangeable circumstances are without a doubt some of the most frustrating.

But the truth is that your capabilities can and will only take you so far.

Every bit of strength that you need in this life will always be found in the power of His presence.

Self sufficiency is the common goal of adulthood, but it is never the answer.

Because there will always be those situations that are just too much for you to keep dealing with on your own.

You need Him. And He wants to help.

Don't allow your frustrations to keep you from experiencing the joy that comes along with true and honest victory that's possible through choosing to lean on Christ.

You're never a failure if God is the source of your strength. All things are possible through the power of His presence.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37 KJV)

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV)

Get Up and Go

Have you ever needed to complete a task but couldn't find the motivation to do it?

I have easily lost whole afternoons by either choosing to look down at the ever-evolving craziness of my newsfeed or by simply sitting and watching what's going on outside my dining room window while drifting deeper into thought.

It's not unusual to become unmotivated during times of difficulty or uncertainty.

It's natural for our hearts to lose strength when the going gets tough. It may even seem easier to try and hide away from it all.

In writing this today, my greatest reason for sliding in this thought on apathy is to encourage others to continue pressing forward for the cause of Christ.

Because there are countless souls that still need Him. Those that are lost and in search of something more than life on Earth could ever offer them.

You may very well be the only chance that someone has to learn about Jesus and the power of His saving grace.

Whenever I am in an apathetic state, I always try to remember this little thought.

It keeps me motivated, moving, and on fire for the Lord. I could never do one thing without that gentle loving push from my Savior.

We all need a little reminder of what it's all about, sometimes. Never allow the coldness of this world to stiffen your spirit.

Always remember to keep your eyes upon Jesus. By His strength, you shall not be moved.

"I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved." (Psalm 16:8 KJV)

The Heart of Easter (Reissue)-Easter 2023

What comes to mind when you think of Easter?

The world has painted a longstanding commercialized picture of what this holiday truly represents; so many lose sight of its significance in the presence of chocolate bunnies and colorful Easter eggs. The world has become a raging cesspool of darkness that becomes deeper and more evident with each passing moment.

But I am thankful for Easter, and feel blessed to celebrate Jesus on His resurrection day.

That's what Easter is all about. I can't imagine what must have been going through His mind as He was enduring crucifixion on the cross. The pain that He must have felt. The great love He had for all of humanity. The priority that He made us to be in His heart as He was dying.

Those are precious thoughts for our hearts to meditate on as we celebrate on this Sunday.

Jesus died for you and me on that cross, taking the payment for all of our sins so that we may have eternal life with Him one day in Heaven. He bestowed to each of us a free will, allowing us to have the option to trust in Him for salvation, so that we could avoid eternity in the Lake of Fire, and eternal separation from God.

The heart of Easter is so much more than any of us could fathom. I've never known a greater love than Jesus. I've never had a more faithful friend than Jesus. If you don't know Him as your personal Savior, Easter would be a wonderful time to accept Him into your life.

Today means so much because it represents everything that He went through for all of us. Many travel through life seemingly without purpose and a peaceful song in their heart. Joy is nowhere to be found. Life just seems to be too much. Some spend their life searching for love and approval in all of the wrong places, with those who don't make them a priority.

That's what is so special about Jesus, and the words above tell the real story of what's at the heart of Easter. Trusting in Him will change your life in more ways than you could imagine. Jesus will give you purpose, love like you've never known, and a peace that passeth all understanding in addition to eternal life in Heaven.

The devil is fighting this world right now, and he knows his time of deception is short-lived, and that he won't win the war.  Christ lives on and He is coming back very soon. Are you prepared?

Do you know where you would spend eternity if you died tonight, or if Christ would come back this very moment? Would you go to Heaven or Hell?

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Easter with their families. Jesus loves you and has a desire to have you trust in Him for salvation today.

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

(Mark 28: 5-6 King James Version)

Trust In His Timing

The Lord placed a little thought on my heart today & I felt like sharing... As I've been cleaning today, I can honestly say I lov...
