Eternal Eyes

A found and faithful spirit dwells in Heaven far away.

I so anticipate our special reunion day.

Not a second goes by that I don't remember you.

Your silliness, your love for me, and the things we used to do.

Life goes on, but for me, it will never quite be the same.

I love the way your face lit up every time you spoke my name.

My first time on the blog since you went away is today.

Through all of this, writing is the one way I can deal and feel okay.

My heart for eternity has really grown.

For in times past, I never really thought of what I'd do when I went home.

Heaven seems sweeter, and its vision all too real.

To keep my eye on the prize,

and to do all I can for Christ whom I love a great deal,

I take my focus off of the darkness of this world, the little silly concerns;

 I will embrace who I am, enjoying each blessing no matter the size;

viewing the rest of this life through eternal eyes.
