The Wake Up Call

The level of sheer excitement that continually fills my heart as I'm actively preparing this blog entry will never be fully explainable. I am SUPER thrilled about returning to Molly's Zone as I have absolutely loved serving the Lord with my little blog throughout the past decade & I am SO thankful that He still chooses to provide me with this precious opportunity.

You may have noticed that the month of April on Molly's Zone primarily consisted of written messages that were pulled out from deep within the archives. That was never in the plans but life has its interruptions and that's perfectly okay because I have always believed that every circumstance---even those that are unexpected--each hold a specific purpose within our lives.

It was a deliberate decision to step away from writing for awhile because I was not feeling well at all. I had been experiencing debilitating fatigue for some time but began experiencing headaches and brain fog that made it nearly impossible to function creatively.

Long story short---I was diagnosed with stage 2 hypertension that is now well controlled with medication. I am feeling much healthier than I have in a LONG time and that brings a sense of immeasurable joy to my soul.

I am SO thankful that I experienced symptoms that were distressing because I couldn't imagine never knowing about it. I have read that high blood pressure is a well-known silent cause of death for many and that got me reevaluating life and thinking about everything that is happening in our world today.

I couldn't help but think about the billions of souls that are lost and without Christ; those hearts that have never known Him.

This message isn't solely for those who live with an openly wicked heart.

But also for that someone who believes that simply "being a good human" would be enough to secure their place in Heaven for all eternity.

That someone who is "living their best life" and cannot see their need for salvation.
You may hear them say "my life is awesome, I'm doing just fine without that."

I read about how our bodies have the insane ability to physically adapt to high pressure over time and will automatically compensate without us ever noticing until the body reaches its breaking point.

Your heart possesses the ability to spiritually adapt to the sin-filled world that surrounds you & although some reach that breaking point....others never do.

Satan tries his best to harden hearts towards Christ, but you mustn't let him.

This world may supply you with everything you've ever wanted.
Life may be swell and you feel as though nothing could ever go wrong.
You could have the nicest house or most successful career.
You might even have a heart for giving to others, and that's all fine and dandy.

OR

You may find yourself aimlessly angry with a heart that's searching.
You may openly and pridefully reject Christ over and over again, time after time.
You may not be aware of the damage and eventual destruction that a sin-riddled life will bring.

No one can live that sort of life forever.
The road you're traveling on will meet a dead end somewhere.

No matter what category you currently fit into...you need Jesus.
May these words bring about a breaking point & moment of reflection within your heart.
You may say you have everything, but without Him you have absolutely nothing.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

May these words serve as the much needed wake up call for whoever may read them.

"Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." (Isaiah 55:6-7)
